Sylvia Helen Harmer

Sylvia Helen Harmer started out life in Hamburg Germany. She was the middle child of George and Claire Kufeke. She was survived by her daughter Jacqueline of Barbados and her younger brother Peter. The family relocated to the Philadelphia area in 1951.

Sylvia graduated from Salem high school (NJ) and received training in business before a career in the brokerage field in Philadelphia.

Her favorite avocation was probably traveling, enjoying numerous trips to Europe, Florida, Barbados and Colorado.

Early in her marriage she and her former husband went to Ft Sam Houston or one of the other bases during one of the 1960 crises. In retirement, Sylvia enjoyed managing the gift shop in the Chestnut Hill Hospital living in Chestnut Hill before moving to the Mattison House in Ambler.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 28, 2023, 11:00AM at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Rd., Roslyn, PA 19001. (Attendees may meet at the main entrance to the cemetery prior to 11:00AM)
