Nancy Kadlec Berk

Nancy Kadlec Berk (74) of Mt Airy (Philadelphia, PA) passed away on the afternoon of Friday, April 15, 2022. She is survived by her daughter Mira (Berk) Solomon, son-in-law Daniel Solomon, and granddaughter Emma Solomon. She was the daughter of the late George and Georgia Kadlec of Chicago, Illinois. Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother and kind friend who took friends in as family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, the beach, and time with her family, especially her granddaughter with whom she had many adventures both little and large. She and Emma lived their best lives when they were together- enjoying lunch at Cape May’s Lobster House or a buggy ride in Lancaster on days off from school and blowing bubbles on the front porch in the afternoons. She was known by friends and family for her determined personality and love of telling stories from her childhood and the past few decades. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jacob F. Ruth Funeral Home (8413 Germantown Avenue, Chestnut Hill).
