It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maryann T. Rdesinski, age 80, of Dresher, Pennsylvania, on November 10, 2024. Born on May 29, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the loving daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Lara (nee Fitzgerald).
Maryann met the love of her life, John A. Rdesinski, in 1984, and they were inseparable for the following 40 years. Their bond was a testament to true love, and they shared a life filled with joy, laughter, and mutual respect.
Maryann’s greatest accomplishments were her children: Steven Bell (Malissa), Michael Bell (Jessica), and Megan Rdesinski. Stepmother to John Rdesinski (Tracey). She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her grandchildren, Emily, Cayleigh, Jaxson, and Sophia, brought her nothing but joy and laughter. Gammy will always be dear to their hearts.
She is also survived by her loving sisters (“Sissys” as they called each other from childhood), Kathleen (Bob)and Deborah (Vince), and survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many dear friends.
Maryann was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and her extreme shopping habits. She had a love for collecting ad infinitum—whether it was Wizard of Oz memorabilia, dolls, shoes, clothes, or pocketbooks, Maryann’s collection was as vast as her heart. She was also a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys (and as we all know, nobody’s perfect).
A woman of many interests, Maryann was a passionate knitter who created beautiful works of art for her loved ones, and an avid poker player, often gathering with friends and family for spirited games. Maryann was also a loving cat mom to Gerald and Otis. Her love for life, her caring nature, and her sharp wit left an unforgettable mark on all who knew her.
A friend to many, Maryann’s compassion and empathy were always at the ready. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel heard and loved. Her wisdom, kindness, and genuine care for others will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.
As the Wizard of Oz said – “A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.” Maryann was truly loved, and she will be truly missed.
