John Arthur Rdesinski, age 79, of Dresher, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 9, 2025. Born on April 14, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John grew up in Mayfair, Pennsylvania, where he formed lifelong connections and memories that shaped the person he became. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Maryann, who passed away in November. John, a devoted husband and father, often said he didn’t want to live life without her by his side, and now they are together again.

John proudly served his time in the Vietnam era over in Korea from 1969-1970, specifically along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) where he won a brush fire award. He won a national defense medal for armed forces during his time in the Army. His service to his country was a source of immense pride, and he remained deeply involved in his local Army chapter 38 throughout his life. He formed strong bonds with fellow veterans, always sharing stories and supporting one another. His dedication to his country and his fellow veterans was unwavering, and he had a profound respect for those who had served alongside him.

John worked for 32 years at SEPTA, where he earned an award for his impressive skill in performing quick tire changes. His dedication and hardworking nature were well-known, and he earned the respect of his colleagues for his quick wit, kindness, and generosity. Whether at work or in his personal life, John was always ready with a joke or a kind word, bringing laughter and light to those around him.

John was a truly likeable guy, someone who was social and could talk to anyone about anything. His friendly nature and ability to connect with people made him a beloved figure in all circles. He had an incredible way of making people feel seen and heard, and his warmth drew others to him wherever he went. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him.

Above all, John loved his family fiercely. He was a devoted father to his children, John (Tracey), Megan, and stepsons Steven (Missy) and Michael (Jessica). He was also a proud and loving Gampop to his grandchildren: Emily, Cayleigh, Jaxson, and Sophia. John will also be missed by his doting sisters in law Kathleen (Bob) and Deborah (Vince). John shared a deep bond with his wife, Maryann. Their happiest moments were spent together, whether they were on shopping trips, playing poker, or enjoying their favorite meals when dining out. John found joy in the simple things, but his heart was always full when he was with Maryann.

John was also a loving cat dad to his cherished companion, Otis. The bond they shared brought John much joy, and Otis was a beloved part of his life.

A passionate Eagles fan, John was elated to see his team win the Super Bowl, a moment that brought him great pride. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed assembling model planes and cars, a hobby that brought him peace.

John was a loving father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
