Jeanette Estelle Maier

With much sadness, Jeanette Estelle Maier went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 14, 2024. She was the wife of the late George August Maier Jr., with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.

Jeanette was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 19, 1941, to Seddon Alfred Strouse and Estelle Clark Borton Strouse. Raised in Wyndmoor, Jeanette loved horses and spending time at her cousins’ farm in Maryland. Jeanette was a graduate of Springfield High School in Erdenheim. After her graduation, Jeanette briefly worked in Philadelphia at Penn Mutual Insurance Company. 

Jeanette worked full-time as a homemaker and part-time as an independent housekeeper for families surrounding Glenside. 

Jeanette enjoyed reading and learning about history and genealogy and loved domestic and foreign travel. 

Jeanette is survived by her three children, Michael G. Maier, Kimberly R. Boroweic (Frank), and Lisa J. Hildebrand (Chris). Jeanette leaves behind five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Jennifer E. Maier.
