HELEN M. HARKINS (McNulty) “Grannie”, lived happily to 91 years of age. Born in Wyndmoor, PA to Patrick H. and Margaret (McGuigan). Helen resided her entire life in Wyndmoor, spending her summers on Molasses Pond in Eastbrook, Maine. Helen was married to Walter Harkins for more than 60 years, together raising their four children Marie, Nancy, Rosie and Walt. She is survived by her children; Rose Killeen, and Walt Harkins (Kathy), and sister Teresa Bones. The grandchildren who adore her: Chelsea and Stephen Sickinger; Miranda, Gregory (Julie), Shana, and Ashleigh Minetti; Rachel (Jerry Gillette), Ethan (Sarah) Killeen; Katelyn, Natalie, and Sean Harkins. Grannie is the proud great-grandmother to Haley, Ella, Mia, Ryan and Genevieve. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Harkins, her daughters, Marie Harkins-Sickinger (Karl) and Nancy Minetti (Gregory), her sisters, Mary (Mickey) Gallagher, Kathleen (Kay) Pramba, Margaret (Peggy) Harkins and brothers, Patrick J. and Joseph V. Grannie greatly enjoyed creating extraordinarily fine works with her hands. Wholly self-taught, these handworks are now treasured family heirlooms. Her breath of work includes needle point, knitting, crochet, quilting, cross stitch, ceramics, sewing (including her own wedding dress) and tailoring. She also wrote poetry. Grannie is loved, and she will be greatly missed.
