Evelyn was a long-time resident of Huntingdon Valley, PA. In April of 2024, she moved to the Lutheran Community at Telford in Telford Pennsylvania. She thoroughly enjoyed her brief time there. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the American Quilter’s Society.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by her “quilt group” friends. The ladies met weekly and went to “quilt camp” twice a year, to socialize and work on their quilts and quilted projects.
A well-established instructor of sewing and quilting for many years, Evelyn was passionate about her craft and extremely talented. She spent several years creating quilts for children who experienced illness or trauma, participating in “Quilts for Kids”. Quilting was her favorite pastime, but she also made drapes, clothing and cushions. She was talented at knitting, crocheting and embroidery. Evelyn adored her granddaughters and so loved making smocked dresses and Halloween costumes, among other things for them.
