Dorothy M. Rissi

Dorothy Rissi, age 87, of Wyndmoor, passed peacefully in her sleep on May 10, 2019. Dorothy “Dot” Rissi, was born July 5, 1931 in Philadelphia. The daughter of the late John and Mary Abbott. She was married to the late Pasquale Rissi. She is survived by a sister, Barbara Stauch of Hatboro. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Dagney, and brothers James and Thomas Abbott. She had five children, Carol Aubrey, Thomas Rissi, Pasquale Rissi, Mary Rissi, and the late Constance Maguire. She has seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. “Dot” was a huge part of the fabric of Wyndmoor as she worked for years at Pizza City and was a member of the Arthur V. Savage American Legion Post 100 Women’s Auxiliary. She loved participating in the Post’s annual Memorial Day Parade. She was a member of Seven Dolors Parish until it closed. Friends and relatives may pay their respects at St. Genevieve’s R. C. Church at 1225 Bethlehem Pike in Flourtown beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday May 17. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Seplulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA.
