Dolores S. Fanelli

Dolores S. Fanelli, of Hilltown Twp., passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 soon after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. She was 87. Dolores was the loving wife of Edward Fanelli who passed several months earlier. The couple had been married for 61 years. Their first newborn son, Mark, also preceded her in death. Born in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Litwak. Dolores was an x-ray technician at Geisinger Medical Center for many years and later enjoyed working at Richardson-Vicks/Procter and Gamble, in Warminster, where she met several life-long and beloved friends. Dolores loved nature, birds and local wildlife. Her family would often observe her leaving healthy snacks for some of the residents on her beautiful, serene property. She especially loved gardening and flowers. Going to ‘Bucks Country Gardens’ was her favorite outing. Additionally, along with her husband and son, she routinely took leisurely drives through ‘Peace Valley Park’ where they would seek appearances from the deer – many whom they named! She had a natural green thumb with plants and an eye for beauty. Every year she displayed new plants and flowers outside the windows of her home where she could view the beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds drawn to her efforts. The wildlife will certainly miss Dolores. In addition, she will always be missed and fondly remembered by her children, Edward, Stephanie and Maria Fanelli, her sister Marischka and her brother Dennis. Services and burial will be held privately.
