Clara Jane Robertson

Clara Jane Robertson (nee: Rissi), 93, of Ocean City, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023.

Clara was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thomasina and Samuel Rissi. She wed her dear husband Douglas “Whitey” Robertson, and they went on to have two daughters, Janice and Denise. Clara connected with people. A short walk home from the beach always took at least twice as long as it should, with her stopping to talk to several people, some of whom she’d known for decades and others she’d only just met. Even in her later years, she diligently kept up with family and old friends and continued to make new ones.

Clara was predeceased by her mother and father, Thomasina and Samuel; her daughter, Denise; her husband, Douglas; her brother, Pasquale; her sister-in-law, Dorothy; and her brother-in-law, James. She is survived by her daughter Janice (David); her granddaughters Stephanie (Mike), Emily, and Laura; her grandsons Douglas (Daeun) and Michael (Christina); her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Alison; her sister Carmela; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on December 1st at St. Genevieve Parish in Flourtown, PA at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. A private interment will be held on a separate date.
