Arthur C. Leaphart, Jr.

Arthur C. Leaphart, Jr died peacefully in his sleep on January 3, 2022 at the age of 82 in Philadelphia. Arthur was born on May 3, 1939 in Philadelphia to Hattie and Arthur Leaphart. He was one of eight siblings and the oldest boy. Arthur is predeceased by his parents, his son Arthur C. Leaphart, III, his brother Bernard Leaphart and his sisters Evelyn Green, Florence Durant, and Elizabeth Fleet. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Joyce Leaphart, his daughters LoriAnne (Kenneth) Lynch, and Susan (Jorge) Ortiz; his granddaughter Kimberly Lynch and his grandson Christopher Ortiz. Arthur is also survived by his sisters Amelia Faust, Velda (Gordon) Williams and Sara (George) Dozier. He is fondly remembered by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws. Arthur’s greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren Kimberly and Christopher.
