Anne C. Jacob

Anne C. Jacob (nee McLaughlin), 77, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. Born on August 13, 1944, to the late Thomas and Anne McLaughlin, Anne grew up in the Oak Hills neighborhood of Edison, NJ with her two sisters, Jeanne Ferraro and the late Theresa Boxer. She shared a lifetime of beautiful memories in Metuchen, NJ with her husband of 41 years, the late Jeffrey Jacob and their family. She is survived by her children, Sharon Simpson (nee Jacob) and Stephen Jacob, son in-law Jon Simpson, daughter in-law Becky Jacob, grandchildren Liam Simpson, Emma Simpson, Owen Simpson and Maxwell Jacob, sister Jeanne Ferraro, brother in-law Phil Ferraro, and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to celebrate and remember Anne’s life on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi in Metuchen, NJ. Prayers and the Reception of the Body will begin at 9:30am. The family will then receive visitors immediately afterwards, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:15am. Interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ. The Funeral Mass may be viewed via Livestream on the St. Francis website, www.stfranciscatherdral.org for those unable to attend in person.
