Alberta "Bert" S. Milovsky

Alberta (Bert) Milovsky (nee Marcolina) age 91, died peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2023 surrounded by family in her final days. Bert was the first of her family to be born in the United States, arriving one year after her mother Italia and older sisters, Severina and Helen moved from Poffabro, Italy. She grew up in Chestnut Hill and attended John Story Jenks School and graduated from Germantown High School. Among her many jobs she worked at Willet Studios and for many years secretary to Our Mother of Consolation Church. Acts of service was her love language. Bert would lend a hand to anyone in need, she selflessly served her community, and found joy in Catholic ministry. A lifelong baker and cook, she loved feeding family, friends, neighbors alike and never turned anyone away. Her love of cooking and baking led to her making and selling pies and baked goods for a local restaurant and bakery. She is preceded in death by her sons Tony and Danny; her sisters Severina Marcolina, Mary Collias and Helen Henry. She is survived by her son Mark (Mary Ellen); grandchildren: Laura, Eric, Jessica, Emily and great grandchildren: Rory, Maeve and Tallula. The family is grateful to the administration, nurses, and aides at Saint Joseph Villa for their compassion and care. Relatives and friends may call at St. Genevieve Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031 on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 9am. Funeral Mass at 10am and Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
